What Happens on Installation Day

Removing the Old Equipment
We disconnect and safely remove your existing system, including the air handler or furnace indoors and the condenser unit outside. Refrigerant is recovered properly, not vented, in compliance with EPA regulations. This part of the job can take anywhere from an hour to a couple of hours depending on the setup.
Installing the New System
The indoor unit goes in first. We connect it to your existing ductwork, or in the case of a mini-split system, we run the refrigerant lines through the wall. The outdoor condenser is set on a pad or bracket, leveled, and connected. Electrical connections are made, the refrigerant lines are charged, and we make sure all components are communicating properly with the thermostat.
Testing and Commissioning
This is the step a lot of people don’t see but shouldn’t skip. We run the system through a full cycle, check refrigerant pressures, verify airflow at each register, confirm the thermostat is calibrated, and look for anything that needs adjusting before we call the job done. If we see something off, we address it right then.
The Walkthrough
Before we leave, we walk through the system with you. We show you the thermostat settings, talk through filter replacement, and answer any questions you have about the warranty or what to watch for as the system breaks in. After the Installation: The First Few Weeks
New systems sometimes take a cycle or two to settle in, and that’s normal. You might notice a faint smell from dust burning off the coil during the first run, and the system may sound slightly different from what you’re used to. If anything seems genuinely off, don’t wait.
